Retroperitoneal soft tissue Sarcomas: retrospective cohort study

Objective: Soft Tissue Sarcomas are rare mesenchymal tumors with many subtypes. Clean margin wide resection is recommended for treatment.In this study, the location, histopathological features, clinical and demographic recurrence prognosis of retroperitoneal sarcomas were investigated. Methods: The demographic, immunohistochemical data 18 patients who operated on diagnosis mass between March 2016 June 2021 evaluated retrospectively. Results: included in study. 10 male 8 female. mean age was 57 (23-81), median 55. While 14 primary sarcoma, 4 recurrent sarcoma. most common complaint abdominal pain 38,87%. average follow-up time 26 (0-55) months. postoperative hospitalstay 5,83 (2-8) days. size tumor 19,81 (6,5-36) cm. A total different sarcoma types detected. histology Dedifferentiated Liposarcoma (44,45%). R0 patients, R1 6 R2 2 patient performed. Organ performed due to organ invasion. During follow-up, had a local underwent reresection died. 30-day mortality number 0. detect relapse 9,3 (1-55) Metastasis developed (11, 11%) patients.
